New Editor in Chief for Vox Sanguinis
ISBT is pleased to announce the appointment of Miquel Lozano as Editor in Chief of Vox Sanguinis. Miquel will succeed Dana Devine who will leave the position in June 2020.
Dana has provided outstanding editorial leadership to Vox Sanguinis over the last 8 years. She has assembled and led a team of dedicated section editors and has updated and strengthened many aspects of the journal during her tenure as Editor in Chief. During the period February to June Miquel will work in tandem with Dana to familiarise himself with the duties of the position.
Miquel, MD, PhD is Head of the Hemotherapy Section at the University Clinic Hospital of Barcelona and associate professor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, Spain. In the past he has served on the Editorial Board of Vox Sanguinis as editor of the International Forum and in the editorial board of other journals in the field of transfusion and apheresis. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the International Society of Blood Transfusion and is president of the European Society for Hemapheresis.
